HOW TO PATCH FARLAND STORY 6
--------------------------------------------

To use this translation, you must have the Japanese version of Farland Story 6.

--------------------------------------------
- If you don't have either:

Stop reading.

--------------------------------------------
- If you have an FDI version of the game:
--------------------------------------------

Hey, gimme. As far as I know, only HDI distributions of this game are available. At least, I never saw an FDI version.

--------------------------------------------
- Patching the HDI version of the game:
--------------------------------------------

(Damn, did I really forget to copy-paste this from the FS3 instructions into the FS4 and FS5 ones? I suck.)

All you have to do is replace all the files on the HDI with the translated. They should all be located in the same directory, namely the directory where FS6 is installed. On my HDI, this was \TGL\FSG. You may have a different directory. Just find the one that's full of files.

To replace the files, you need a tool that can open and edit FDI files. An easy-to-use tool that does this comes with the Anex86Ex emulator, it is called Anxdiet.exe. There are others. This file assumes you are using Anxiedit.

If you have used Anxiedit before, You know what to do, so I will assume you haven't when you are reading this. Well then. Double-click the Anxiedit icon in Explorer. Anxiedit will now ask you if it should be the default application for FDI and HDI files. Select both and quit the program (we're doing this the easy way).

Now Anxiedit is associated with HDI's. Whenever you double-click an HDI file (now recognizable by the butt-ugly grey icon), Anxiedit will start and open the HDI. Now all you have to do is drag-and-drop the translation files onto the Anxiedit window, and close it (this is important; Anxiedit does not save until you do).

Make sure to not copy the RAR file. It isn't necessary, and won't fit into the HDI.
